Well, it comes once again folks, Family Day. In BC, we have it different from other provinces because everyone else had theirs last week.
This weekend I am really excited to spend sometime with my husband. This Monday, we are just doing something simple like taking me to get my shellac nails removed and then we are going to see a matinee of Hail, Caesar.
If you haven't heard of it yet, here is the trailer:
I am actually really excited for this movie! It has all the funny charismatic actors and actresses. After seeing the trailer, you cannot say its going to be a terrible movie. It looks like it will be HILARIOUS! I am definitely looking forward to seeing this.
Depending on what the rest of the day looks like, I am hoping that it would be nice enough for us to go for a walk or a hike. I was thinking that we could head up the local moutains nearby. I hadn't walked that in forever. ACTUALLY, we used to live in that area and never once since we have been there had we hiked that moutain. I think we attempted once and it was really late at night and we were with a couple of friends. We only made it to the park with the amazing view that over looked the city. Although, we cheated. We got tired and convinced my husband to run down the hill and pick up our car. So, techinically, we did not hike. Sad. Truly sad.
Anyways, that's what we might be doing for family day. I don't count this as date night because the country is telling us that we should be spending time with our family! HA-HA! My husband still has to plan our next date night, and I am excited!
On this day, I want to spend as much quality time with my husband as much as possible. I am going to try and stay off my phone, be MIA from socia media and just BE there for him. Quite often, he spends a lot of time, when we are out, away from his phone unless we are waiting to get somewhere. Ex, waiting to get on the sea bus, getting into our show/movie and then he will be on his phone.
So, my challenge to you and myself, spend this time with your family away from social media, text messages and email. See and be with them.
